speedread.jonsay.co.uk is a website that teaches you how to speed read. We have quite a lot of classic novels that you can read right here, and it doesn`t cost a bean.
Who are you?
I'm not anybody of interest however I am a guy with many interests! I enjoy reading, languages, playing guitar and of course, my family.
How fast do you speed read
I normal read around the 450 words per minute area. I'm not a speed reading demon or anything, I just find reading a book in the normal method a bit boring...
I got into speed reading maybe 20 years and it is my preferred method when reading books or news articles.
Aren't you breaking copyright laws?
Short answer is Nope! The books I have on the website have fallen into what is called public domain. Pretty much every country in the world has laws dictating
how long a book must be in copyright, and for most it is linked to the day of death of the author plus 30-75 years. I use books where the author died more than
75 years ago so there are no problems with copyright in any modern country.
This website is rubbish. Why?
Unfortunately I cannot please everyone and while I would like everyone to find something useful on my website I know it is impossible. I am just one man who has a day job.
This website only started as a hobby but it takes almost all of my spare time to upkeep. If there is something you don`t like about my website why don`t you tell me about it.

Can I help you with your website?
As much as I would like help with the website unfortunately I have to say no. I had problems in the past with someone abusing their position and it pushed me back a long
way. The only way I would ask anyone to help now is to tell their friends or to post a link.
Where do you get the books from?
I download the raw text files usually from Project Gutenberg. I have to changed the files and adapt them to work on my website so they look quite different from the
texts the I started with.
